“The International Aviation Academy Norwich has supported N4J through hosting a couple of the Employer Panels at the Academy, allowing employers to come together and discuss ways in which they can help Norwich’s young people access the job experience and opportunities they need. It has been great to see the success stories from other businesses and employers as to how they have helped, and how this is turn has helped Norwich as a whole, raising the aspirations of young people and helping them to reach their full potential.”

“Clarion Housing are proud to support Norwich 4 Jobs by providing training sessions and one to one mentoring and support to the young people involved. All the participants have engaged very positively with us and we really enjoy helping them on their journey towards rewarding and sustainable employment”

“Howes Percival LLP have supported Norwich for Jobs since its original launch in 2013 as, former Senior Partner, Andrew Barnes was a founding member of the Steering group. Since then, the wider Howes Percival team have actively supported the delivery of Norwich for Jobs into its latest Phase 3 programme. Our fee earners and support staff have carried out mock interviews, workplace tours and talks, and “Career Journey” inspirational talks. We are also seeking to offer work experience placements. Our staff have found the experience of working with the young candidates extremely rewarding, particularly as one young man secured an offer of employment following a mock interview!”
Nicola Curle - Director
“The Prince’s Trust are delighted to play a part in the Norwich4Jobs initiative. The network has provided us with a strong platform to engage with employers who are keen to give the young people we work with an opportunity to get some practical work experience and establish a career path. We are pleased to support the scheme with our engagement and employability programmes which give young people the confidence to Live, Learn and Earn.”
Clare Francis - Partnerships Manager
“Serco at NNUH have had huge success with its engagement and employment programmes for many years.
Enabling young people to become employed (where possible) or at least to provide the footholds for their confidence building and progress is a social imperative.
After so many participants it is now excellent to be able to share a few of many stories and the progress so many of our candidates have made.
We have recently had a past student who joined us via our Project Search programme (Engaging young people with learning or physical challenges) who has developed his skills and is now a section team leader.
Similarly we have a Senior manager now leading a large department who came to us via our Princes Trust Get into Health programme.
Relatively recently there would have been work positions considered too challenging for a person with a learning challenge, we have proven and dispelled that myth. The simple approach being to encourage peoples’ abilities and not to become focussed on their life’s challenges.
An inclusive work place has so much potential not only in the way it approaches engagement but also about how it enables all of us to become more inclusive and wholesome as a modern society.”
“St Eds have found working with Norwich for Jobs a very worthwhile experience and we have secured an excellent employee which we would never have found had we not worked with the programme.
Watching a young person who has never volunteered or worked before flourish in a Vocational Training centre, gain qualifications and become work ready is the best feeling ever and it is highly likely that there will be offers of work at the end of the work placement.”
“I’ve been involved with Norwich for Jobs since the very early days and am proud to have been able to provide Work Experience Programmes, interviewing techniques training for N4J customers and also have worked on the Steering Group. After an work enforced absence I’m now back and will be doing all I can professionally and personally for what I believe is a great cause. Phase 3 – bring it on!”
