Broadland District Council

By pledging the councils support to theNorwichfor Jobs campaign we can continue to showcase the work that we do withNorfolk’s young people. Our training centre BCTS delivers Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in the workplace. We have just completed a very successful first year of leading a Consortium of local training providers who are delivering Government Funded work based opportunities acrossNorfolk. Partners include Construction Specialists, Dental Practices and many Occupational qualifications are also now being delivered such as Health & Social Care, Customer Service Administration and Management. Along with the services we offer across the County we also currently employ three apprentices based here within the Council. We are also involved in the EmployAble programme which is aimed at unemployed residents aged 19-24, enabling them to develop the skills and resources to become ‘work ready’. Key aspects include compiling a CV, learning interview skills and attending work taster sessions. As a Council, Broadland is passionate about the work we do to assist our young people gain further skills and seek employment. We recognise they are integral to the future of economic growth of our area and we fully support this campaign.
