New-U is a charity with a focus of giving young people skills and confidence to progress into employment by offering retail work experience in a supportive environment. It is a boutique style shop where point vouchers are used rather than money to purchase items in store. This cash-less shopping experience is a great way to sustainably update your wardrobe as well as helping young people to gain customer service skills and much more. New-U also has a loan scheme set up to provide ‘smart’ clothing young adults can borrow for job interviews or similar occasions. We presented Caitlin Seale at New –U with her certificate following the successful completion of their recent ‘You’ve Got This’ workshops, which helped young people to move forward with work and training. Over the years Caitlin has helped and supported many of our young people who attend the N4J Monday Support Club. She has given up her time to meet specific requests from N4J to meet the needs of our young customers. The young people she has supported have either gone into work or moved significantly forwards towards that goal. Without this vital support these young people wouldn’t be able to move forward with their lives.
