Aviva share news of their Apprenticeship Programme in Norwich

We have recently commenced our Apprenticeship programme in Norwich offering both level 3 and level 4 apprentice opportunities, we presently have 27 apprenticeship roles available within Norwich, these roles are spread across the Aviva job families and include Business analyst’s, software developers, claims handlers and trading underwriters, we are very confident that these roles will be filled by September 2017.

To support our apprenticeship programme we have –

Run local based work tasters at our Surrey street site for Norwich City college and UTC, and have visited UTC to give further support to their students, we also ensure we share every opportunity we have directly with them, to date we have had 4 applicants from UTC and are very close to make offers of employment.

We are working closely with the Job centre in respect of the apprentice programme and have run work taster sessions to support young adults back to work

We are talking to one of the local disability charities (Equal Lives) and have a meeting with their CEO next week to discuss how we can support young disabled people into employment.

We have visited both Swinton and Keir Construction who are making redundancies and ensuring we are talking to the young adults about our apprenticeships, within the last 2 weeks we have had 3 applicants for the apprenticeship programme from these sources.

We are attending careers fairs in the local area to continue to share our good news around the apprenticeship programme.

Created an online presence where young adults can register their interest in an apprentice and we will advise them once one comes available in the area they would like to work in.
